Basketmaking and Energy bills

I have scheduled two programs for March and April. One is a free program on saving on energy bills presented by Focus on Energy and the other is a basketmaking program where patrons will make their own tulip basket. The program is limited to 12 people and they pay $20 for supplies at time of registration. I am hoping it sells out! This is the first adult craft I've tried so hopefully people will sign up.

  1. Your ideas for programs are terrific. Have you charged for materials before? Sounds like you've done craft programs for kids, too. Do you think charging--even for materials--has any effect on attendance? We are new to charging and it's likely that its limiting our programming. Please share your secrets for success. Thank you and all best wishes for a sell out!

  2. We have had children's and YA craft programs but haven't charged before. The basketmaking program will be the first. The presenter is also going to do a program at Tosa the same day. They've had her before and she sells out. In fact, they've already filled up their spots. They will be sending people to us when they receive inquiries.
